A Southern reset at the Grandview
The Grandview Tavern & Grill has held the corner at 7427 Grandview Avenue since 2004, which is long enough that most locals have a story about it. As of April 2026, it has a new owner. Jeremy Wolgamott, previously executive chef at Bistro Vendôme in LoDo, took over the space and quietly reopened with a Southern-leaning menu built around family-style small plates and a $20 hot-plate lunch that runs until 3 p.m. The grand-reopening crawfish boil on April 18 brought in roughly 150 pounds of crawfish from Louisiana, which tells you how seriously he means it.
The interior work kept the historic Barth Building's exposed brick and tin ceilings intact, so the room still reads as the Grandview you remember. The food doesn't. Fried rainbow trout, smoked chicken with Alabama-style white barbecue sauce, and a gumbo built on a super-dark roux that swaps rice for potato salad are on the menu now. The bar leans beer-forward with classic cocktails, so a Hurricane can share a table with a Manhattan.
What's worth paying attention to here isn't the menu change on its own. It's the model. A chef-owner walking ten minutes from his own house to run a neighborhood tavern is a different kind of Olde Town business than a franchise lease. The next section is the counterweight.
The Shops at Olde Town Station fills in
At the transit-adjacent edge of the district, near the G Line station, The Shops at Olde Town Station has been signing tenants that skew regional and national. Snooze an A.M. Eatery, Smashburger, Parry's Pizzeria & Taphouse, and Cava have all committed to the development. Parry's, which opened its first Colorado location in Parker in 2007, was visible enough locally to serve as the presenting sponsor of the 2026 Arvada Summerfest at Ralston Addition Park on June 6.
For a resident, the practical effect is a second dining pole. The historic core around Olde Wadsworth and Grandview still holds the independent operators. The Yukon Street and station-adjacent blocks are becoming the reliable-brand zone. Both matter for different weeknights, and the walk between them is short enough that the district hasn't split in any real sense. But if you've watched Olde Town for a decade, the new leases are a genuine shift in tenant mix, not a rounding error.

Summerfest already happened this year on June 6 at Ralston Addition Park, with Booty & the Beat, Jesh Yancey and the High Hopes, and the DJ Williams Band on the main stage, plus a beer garden benefiting Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis, Arvada Sunrise Rotary, and the Arvada Vitality Alliance. Under the amphitheatre lights
The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is a fifteen-minute walk or a two-minute drive from the historic core, and its 1,500-seat outdoor amphitheatre is the piece of summer programming most likely to justify staying in town on a Saturday you'd otherwise leave.
The 2026 season lineup includes Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Keb' Mo' with Shawn Colvin, Ozomatli with Las Cafeteras, The Wallflowers, Digable Planets, The Robert Cray Band, Burton Cummings of the Guess Who, Five For Fighting with Vertical Horizon, Clint Black, and Samantha Fish. 9News's coverage also flagged Andy Grammer, Molly Tuttle, Psychedelic Furs, Matteo Bocelli, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band on the schedule.
The practical read: this is a lineup that would be a destination in a bigger city and gets treated as a walk-up by people who live nearby. Pre-ordered picnic baskets from the Center's catering partner, Organic Roots, cut the line at concessions, which matters more than it sounds like it does on a sold-out Saturday.
How to move through Olde Town this summer
The construction footprint is the part most residents will feel every week, so it's worth being specific.
The Arvada library redesign has closed the sidewalk in front of the library at 57th and Webster from March 23, 2026 through early 2027. The Olde Town Alley Power Line undergrounding project is progressing in phases from Ralston Road south to Grandview Avenue, with alley closures between Olde Wadsworth and Yukon and lane closures on Ralston and Grandview as crews move through each block. While the historic core is doing its construction dance, the standing favorites are still standing:

- Secret Level Arcade for pinball, a claw machine, and chicken chunks that pair better than they should with alcoholic slushies
- GB Fish & Chips on Ralston, which has quietly been in the same building long enough to count as an institution
The Golden-based breakfast burrito operator that opened in the former Arby's in May 2025 has an astroturfed patio built for kids to burn off energy while a line runs down the block. Weekday mornings are the move. Saturdays are for people who like queueing.
The through-line
Olde Town has always been marketed as historic Main Street preserved in amber. That framing is doing less work in 2026 than it used to. A chef-owner is running the tavern in the Barth Building. A national breakfast chain is coming to the station edge. The pedestrian mall the city closed during COVID is now, per the Strategic Reinvestment Plan adopted by City Council in October 2023, being studied for permanent closure. What looks like a stable district on a summer Saturday is actually mid-motion.
